Welcome to the Shortest AI Film Competition by LTX Studio (the “Contest”). The Contest is organized and administered by Forward Creatives GmbH, Nordwestbahnstraße 8–10/2. OG, 1200 Vienna, Austria (“Forward”, “Organizer”, “we”, “our”, “us”). Lightricks Ltd., 30 Yeshayahu Leibovich St., Jerusalem, Israel, 9190401, through its product LTX Studio, acts as presenting partner and technology provider of the Contest (“Lightricks”, “LTX Studio”, “Partner”).
LTX Studio, created by Lightricks, is a tool for creating and editing videos using AI (the “Platform”).
Please read carefully the following terms and conditions (“Terms” or “Official Rules”), which constitute a binding agreement between individuals seeking to participate in the Contest,the Organizer, and the Partner. By submitting an Entry to the Contest, participating in the Contest, or otherwise indicating acceptance of these Official Rules, you provide your full and unconditional consent to be legally bound by these Official Rules.
By participating in the Contest, you further acknowledge and agree that your use of LTX Studio is subject to the applicable LTX Studio Terms of Service (the “LTX Studio Terms”), Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”), platform rules, usage policies, and any other applicable terms made available by Lightricks from time to time (collectively, the “Contest Terms”). If you do not agree to these Official Rules or to the applicable Contest Terms, you may not participate in the Contest.
These Official Rules and the Contest are void where prohibited by law.
1. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest starts on May 28th, 2026 at 12:00 AM Central European Summer Time (“CEST”) and ends on June 28th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CEST (“Contest Period”).
The Organizer will have the sole discretion in determining the timeliness of any action or inaction related to this Contest and may, in its sole discretion, extend, modify, shorten, or otherwise amend the Contest Period.
The jury decision is expected to take place on or by July 10th, 2026. Selected Entries will be presented, screened, or otherwise showcased at Forward Festival Berlin on August 27th, 2026.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Subject to any applicable law, participants who at the time of Entry are at least 18 years of age or older, are holders of a valid passport and, where applicable, a valid travel visa and/or the necessary documents for travel to/from and within the European Union, and are legally permitted to travel to/from the European Union, are eligible to participate in the Contest.
Each team may consist of up to three (3) participants (“Team”). Each Team must designate one person as the main contact and representative of the Team (“Team Representative”). The Organizer and/or Partner may correspond with the Team Representative on behalf of the entire Team. Any prize awarded to a Team may be awarded to the Team Representative, who shall be solely responsible for any internal allocation among Team members. The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for resolving disputes between Team members.
Employees and board members of Forward and Lightricks, and their family members (i.e. parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and in-law relatives), are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Participants may not be prohibited from participating in the Contest or receiving prizes under applicable laws, sanctions, export control regulations, or other legal restrictions. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to ensure that participation in the Contest and acceptance of any prize is permitted in their jurisdiction.
3. OVERVIEW / HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, you must complete the official submission form (https://forms.gle/LtMJHPgTSw2YwPYN6) made available via the Forward Festival website (https://www.forward-festival.com/page/ai-shortest-film-competition-by-ltx). Within the form or on the Contest page, you will find the Contest guidelines (“Guidelines”) instructing you on the Entry submission requirements in order to enter the Contest (“Entry”).
All Entries must follow the submission requirements detailed in the Guidelines and these Official Rules.
No purchase is necessary to participate in the Contest. You are not entitled to any form of compensation or consideration for your submission of an Entry or for the Organizer’s or Partner’s use of your Entry, except for any prize that may be awarded in accordance with these Official Rules.
The submission must be in the following format:
(i) Maximum video length: 60 seconds;
(ii) The Entry must be generated in LTX Studio;
(iii) Post-production and editing are allowed;
(iv) File size limit: 1GB;
(v) Final format: MP4.
To submit your Entry, you must:
(i) Complete the official Contest submission form made available via the Forward Festival website;
(ii) Upload or submit your final video through the official submission process; and
(iii) Share your LTX Studio project with the designated LTX Studio account or email address using the “Share” function in the Platform, as instructed in the Guidelines.
The Organizer hosts the submitted files. Forward and Lightricks will both have access to submitted Entries for the purposes of administering, evaluating, judging, documenting, promoting, and otherwise carrying out the Contest and related activities in accordance with these Official Rules.
Participation is limited to one (1) Entry per Team. Any attempt by any participant or Team to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple or different email addresses, identities, social media profiles, logins, or any other methods may void such Entries and may result in disqualification.
Normal internet, phone access, and data or usage charges imposed by your online or mobile service provider will apply. By entering, you agree that you are solely responsible for all internet access and data charges that you incur. All such charges are billed by and payable to your internet or mobile service provider.
All Entries must adhere to these Official Rules. Any Entry that does not adhere to these Official Rules is subject to disqualification from the Contest.
Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, corrupted, unavailable, inaccessible, or misdirected Entries, which may be disqualified at the Organizer’s sole discretion without notice. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, fraudulent, or similar Entry methods or agents will void all Entries by that participant or Team.
In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to submit the Entry will be deemed the entrant. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, business, educational institution, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the Authorized Account Holder associated with the Entry.
4. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND REPRESENTATIONS: By submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that:
(i) Your Entry is original to you and/or your Team;
(ii) Your Entry has not been previously published, sold, licensed, commercially exploited, or awarded;
(iii) You are the sole rightful owner of all intellectual property rights associated with the Entry, or you have lawfully obtained all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to submit the Entry and grant the rights set forth in these Official Rules;
(iv) The Entry and its contents do not infringe, misappropriate, or violate the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy rights, publicity rights, moral rights, contractual rights, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights;
(v) You have lawfully obtained the consent of all individuals depicted or shown in the Entry, if any, to use their image, likeness, voice, performance, and publicity rights for the purposes contemplated by these Official Rules;
(vi) The Entry does not contain any unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, vulgar, violent, threatening, harassing, pornographic, sexually explicit, hateful, racist, ethnically offensive, or otherwise objectionable material;
(vii) The Entry does not depict or identify minors, their personal details, their address, or ways to contact them;
(viii) The Entry does not contain software viruses, spyware, malware, or any other malicious or harmful code;
(ix) The Entry does not encourage, support, assist, or advise in the commission of a criminal offense;
(x) The Entry does not disparage or harm the goodwill or reputation of Forward, Lightricks, LTX Studio, Forward Festival, or any third party;
(xi) The Entry complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and platform terms, including the applicable LTX Studio terms and policies.
By submitting an Entry, you acknowledge and agree that Forward and/or Lightricks may receive other Entries under this Contest that may be similar or identical to the Entry submitted by you. You waive any and all claims you may have, may have had, or may have in the future in connection with any other Entry reviewed, used, promoted, or published by Forward or Lightricks that may be identical or similar to your Entry. You understand that you will not be entitled to any compensation because of Forward’s or Lightricks’ use of such other similar or identical material.
5. COMPLIANCE REVIEW AND WINNING ENTRY: Only complete Entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules during the Contest Period are eligible to receive a prize.
Following the conclusion of the Contest Period, the Organizer and/or Partner may review each Entry to confirm compliance with these Official Rules, the Guidelines, and the applicable LTX Studio terms and policies (“Compliance Review”). Entries that fail to meet the eligibility criteria or Entry requirements may be deemed incomplete or non-compliant and may be disqualified.
Eligible Entries will be evaluated through the following equally weighted criteria:
(i) Creativity;
(ii) Originality;
(iii) Storytelling or concept clarity, including for non-narrative Entries.
Based on the criteria above, on or by July 10th, 2026, a curated jury of industry professionals will choose up to twenty-five (25) Teams as winning entries or selected Entries (each Team a “Winner”, together “Winners”).
A Winner may be disqualified if the Organizer deems that the Winner has violated these Official Rules, the Guidelines, the applicable LTX Studio terms, or any applicable law.
The Organizer’s and jury’s decisions are final and non-contestable, and you may not raise objections against such decisions.
6. PRIZES: The Winners will be eligible for the following prizes, subject to these Official Rules:
6.1 Prize Categories
First Place Winner shall receive:
(i) Cash prize of USD $3,000;
(ii) One (1) year LTX Studio Pro subscription license;
(iii) A trip to Berlin, Germany, to attend Forward Festival Berlin on or around August 27th, 2026, including roundtrip economy air transportation from a major international airport within reasonable proximity to the Winner’s home, as determined in the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s sole discretion, and hotel accommodation;
(iv) Screening rights at the Shortest AI Film Competition by LTX Studio showcase at Forward Festival Berlin.
Second Place Winner shall receive:
(i) Cash prize of USD $1,500;
(ii) Six (6) month LTX Studio Pro subscription license;
(iii) Inclusion in the official Forward Festival showcase;
(iv) Ticket for Forward Festival Berlin for each Team member, subject to a maximum of three (3) Team members.
Third Place Winner shall receive:
(i) Cash prize of USD $1,000;
(ii) Three (3) month LTX Studio Pro subscription license;
(iii) Inclusion in the official Forward Festival showcase;
(iv) Ticket for Forward Festival Berlin for each Team member, subject to a maximum of three (3) Team members.
Runners-Up, Fourth through Twenty-Fifth Place, shall each receive:
(i) Fifty thousand (50,000) compute seconds in LTX Studio;
(ii) Featured placement on the official campaign page or other official communication channels, as determined by the Organizer and/or Partner;
(iii) Ticket for Forward Festival Berlin for each Team member, subject to a maximum of three (3) Team members.
Audience Award Winner shall receive:
(i) Cash prize of USD $250.
The Audience Award will be determined by an on-site audience vote at Forward Festival Berlin. Only the audience present on-site and participating through the voting mechanism made available by the Organizer may vote. The exact voting mechanism, voting period, eligibility of Entries for the Audience Award, and tie-breaking rules will be determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion.
6.2 General Prize Conditions
All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and any additional documentation, release, declaration, tax form, participation agreement, or other document that may be required by the Organizer and/or Partner prior to prize distribution.
Prize consists only of the items specifically listed as part of the prize in these Official Rules. Prize details not specified herein shall be determined solely by the Organizer and/or Partner.
All prizes are awarded “as is”, are non-transferable, and non-refundable. No substitutions are allowed except by the Organizer and/or Partner, who reserve the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if a prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable.
Cash Prizes may be awarded either as (a) payment against a valid invoice, processed within thirty (30) days of invoice receipt, or (b) Amazon gift card of equivalent value. Winner must provide valid banking information for cash prize disbursement.
Winner agrees to interview for the Organizer, Partner, or any of their designated reporters and participate in any recordings of the creation process of the Entry, which may be done in any form or type of media, including social media (“Documentation”). Winner further agrees that the Organizer and Partner may use or edit any such Documentation in any way they see fit, on any media they see fit, to promote the Contest, the Documentation, the Entry, the Organizer, the Partner, LTX Studio, and the cooperation between the Organizer and Partner.
Winner further agrees that the Organizer, Partner, or their agents may photograph and/or videotape any or all aspects of the Event (“Footage”) and Winner agrees that the Organizer and Partner may use or edit that Footage in any way they see fit, on any media they see fit.
Winner agrees and acknowledges that following submission of their Entry they may not, at any point in time, withdraw their submission from the Contest, even if Winner chooses not to participate in the Event or to receive recognition for the Entry. The terms of these Official Rules, including without limitation the Entry License set forth in Section 16 hereof, shall apply to Winner and the submission, Entry and related materials, whether Winner claims and/or receives or does not receive the prize or any portion thereof.
Winner must execute and return a liability/publicity release prior to travel, if applicable. Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, upgrades, travel insurance, travel visa and all associated expenses, intercity transportation, in-room charges (e.g. mini-bar, movies), alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, merchandise, souvenirs, personal expenses, laundry service, spa treatments, tips and gratuities, incidental charges, parking, surcharges, service charges, personal charges, taxes, additional transportation, upgraded room accommodations and other incidentals and items of a personal nature or any other item not specifically described in these Official Rules, and all expenses for any of the foregoing are solely the responsibility of the Winner.
Winner must be legally permitted to travel, and is solely responsible for all applicable and/or necessary and relevant travel documents, visas, passports, etc. The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for lost, mutilated or stolen travel documents. Travel must be taken on dates specified by the Organizer and/or Partner. The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for airline cancellations, blackout dates, delays, diversions or substitutions and no refund or compensation will be awarded in any such event.
The Event may be cancelled or rescheduled at the Organizer’s sole discretion. In the case the Event is rescheduled, the Winner may be eligible to attend the next Event scheduled with the same terms, subject to availability and the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s discretion.
If Winner engages in behavior that, as determined by the Organizer and/or Partner in their sole discretion, is inappropriate or threatening, illegal or intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, the Organizer and/or Partner reserve the right to terminate the trip early and/or eject them from the Event, in whole or in part, and send the Winner home with no further compensation to the Winner.
If the Winner elects to make alternate arrangements for any portion of the Prize for any reason whatsoever, no additional compensation will be awarded to the Winner and the Organizer and Partner are not responsible for such alternate arrangements. Actual retail value of the Prize may vary. The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for, and Winner will not receive any difference between, the actual value and ARV of the Prize. If ground transportation is substituted in lieu of air transportation, the Winner will not receive the difference between the value of the air transportation and the ground transportation. Air travel and hotel accommodations may be booked on behalf of the Winner by the Organizer, Partner, or a third party designated by them. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked, except at the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s sole discretion. The Winner may be required to provide a major credit card upon hotel check-in or prior thereto and all in-room charges will be charged to the credit card, subject to terms and conditions of the hotel. All other expenses and costs not expressly listed above, including but not limited to airline baggage fees, taxes, tips, meals, entertainment, transfers, and transportation to airport to and from Winner’s home residence are the Winner's sole responsibility. Any damage to the room, and/or any other venue related to the prize, attributed to the Winner will be the responsibility of the Winner. The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for the availability or proper functioning of any hotel feature or amenity and will award no credit or compensation with respect thereto.
RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURIES, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR OTHER DAMAGES OR EXPENSES RESULTING FROM OR ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PRIZE OR ANY ACTIVITY RELATED TO THE PRIZE OR ANY OTHER ASPECT OF WINNER’S ACCEPTANCE OR USE OF THE PRIZE.
Prize is non-transferable and no substitutions are allowed except by the Organizer and/or Partner, who reserve the right to award a prize of equal or greater value. The prize being awarded has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash at any time, except for Cash Prizes expressly listed in these Official Rules. All applicable federal, state, local or other income taxes for acceptance and use of the prize are the sole responsibility of Winner. Prize is awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee of any kind. To the extent that prize elements are provided by third-party providers, Winner agrees to look solely to applicable third-party providers with respect to any claims, losses, or disputes in connection therewith. All prize details not specified in these Terms will be determined in the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s sole discretion.
Taxes: The Prize may be taxable income under the laws applicable to Winner. Any taxes applicable to the Prize are the sole and exclusive responsibility of Winner, and not the Organizer or Partner. Winner shall be solely responsible for reporting the Prize to the relevant tax authorities, and paying all taxes applicable to the Prize, as required by the applicable tax laws. Upon the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s first request, Winner will promptly complete and submit all tax forms, certificates or authorizations as may be necessary under the applicable tax laws.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION/VERIFICATION: The potential Winner will be sent, via email link, a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release, where legal (“Declaration”), and may be required to complete, sign and return the Declaration via email within twenty-four (24) hours of being notified in order to claim the Prize.
If the potential Winner fails to return the Declaration within the required time period, or the prize notification is returned undeliverable, or in the event that the potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, the Organizer may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected in the same manner as set forth in Section 5 above from among all remaining eligible Entries received, time permitting.
Prize will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received throughout the Contest Period. Winner is subject to verification by the Organizer, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. If Winner is 18 years of age or older but deemed a minor in Winner’s state or place of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete and return the Declaration on Winner’s behalf.
8. PUBLICATION: The name of the Winner, their submission, as well as their social media handle, may be published on the Organizer’s and/or Partner’s websites, social media pages, blogs, press releases, news articles, promotional materials, marketing materials, event materials and portfolio materials.
Entries may be publicly shown, screened, displayed or otherwise presented, including at Forward Festival Berlin, with appropriate credit to the creator where reasonably practicable.
9. GENERAL RULES: By participating in this Contest, entrants and Winner agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Organizer. All applicable laws and regulations apply.
Entrants and Winner hereby hold the Organizer, Partner and their affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, members, managers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Released Parties”) harmless from and against any third party claim arising from use of any Entry and entrants and Winner waive any right to inspect or approve uses of their Entry by the Organizer and/or Partner in connection with the Contest or to be compensated for any such uses.
Participating in the Contest constitutes permission to the Organizer and Partner to use an entrant’s and Winner’s name, address, likeness, Entry and Footage, if applicable, in connection with the administration, promotion and documentation of the Contest, the Event and the cooperation between Organizer and Partner, and as otherwise required by law.
By participating in the Contest, the entrants and Winner agree that Released Parties will have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by entrants and Winner for any liability for any bodily injury, loss or damages of any kind to persons, including death, and property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from submitting an Entry, the acceptance, receipt, redemption, possession, ownership, use or misuse of any prize, if applicable, or participation in the Contest or participation in any Contest related activity.
You hereby represent and warrant that you have read these Official Rules and are fully familiar with their contents and agree to be bound by them.
The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the Contest materials or the offering or announcement of the Prize. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud, misconduct or technical failures threaten the integrity of the Contest; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the Contest as determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion.
In the event of termination, the Organizer may award the Prize in accordance with Section 5 above from among all eligible Entries received prior to termination. The Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; violates the Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts in an annoying, abusive, threatening, or harassing manner.
If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, the Organizer may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to the Organizer and/or Partner through information technology systems in their control, but the Organizer will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source.
Any failure by the Organizer to enforce any of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of such Official Rules. If there is a conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any marketing or other materials used in connection with the Contest, the terms of these Official Rules will govern.
The Organizer and Partner are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in the Contest that may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in the Contest.
Entries generated by script or bot are not eligible. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or corruption of any sort. In such an event, the Organizer may award the prize from non-suspect, eligible Entries received prior to cancellation as outlined above, provided it is able to do so.
The Organizer also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Official Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest. If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
10. PRIVACY: In order to run the Contest, the Organizer will need to collect personal data about You. This may include Your contact information, such as Your email address, phone number and personal profile, the content that You provide for consideration as part of the Contest, as well as data if You are above 18 and if You are an EU/UK/USA resident. We require this information in order to allow Your participation in the Contest and perform the contract entered between You and the Organizer.
Forward collects and processes the personal data submitted through the Contest form. Forward may share submitted Entries and necessary personal data with Lightricks for the purposes of administering, reviewing, judging, documenting and promoting the Contest, as well as for any use permitted under these Official Rules.
If your Contest submission contains personal data, it will be subject to the Organizer’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, to Lightricks’ Privacy Policy and the applicable LTX Studio terms. By participating in the Contest, You agree to the additional terms in the applicable privacy policies, detailing the policies regarding collection, retention and sharing of personal data, including any rights You may exercise as a Data Subject, depending on the laws applicable to You.
You are not required to provide Your personal data, however if You do not provide it, You will not be able to participate in the Contest.
11. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that:
(i) all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the competent courts located in London, England, and entrants consent to the mandatory and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts with respect to any such legal proceedings;
(ii) all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees;
(iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Forward in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than England and Wales.
12. WINNER: For the name of a Winner (“Winner List”), available for ninety (90) days after the Contest Period, send an email to: hello@forwardcreatives.com with “Shortest AI Film Competition by LTX Studio” as the subject line. Winner List will be sent after the prize has been awarded.
13. DISCORD, INSTAGRAM, TIKTOK, LINKEDIN, YOUTUBE AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER: Please note that Discord, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook or any other social media platform used in connection with the Contest (“Social Media”) do not sponsor, endorse or administer the Contest, and are not liable for any matter related to the Contest.
14. RESTRICTIONS:
In your participation in the Contest, you must not:
Violate any rules, guidelines or instructions that we may convey regarding the Contest;
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Contest;
Disparage the Organizer, the Partner, Forward Festival, LTX Studio, or harm their goodwill or reputation;
Impersonate any person or entity, or make any false statement pertaining to your identity; or
Engage in any activity that constitutes or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violates any applicable law, including laws governing privacy, defamation, mass email, spam, export control, consumer protection, unfair competition and false advertising.
Your Entry and your submission must not include content:
That may infringe the rights of other parties, including patents, copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, a person’s right to privacy or publicity rights;
That may depict or identify minors, their personal details, their address or ways to contact them;
That is or appears to be of commercial nature, including advertisements, sponsorships, solicitations, endorsements and public relations material, unless expressly approved by the Organizer in connection with the Contest;
That is false, inaccurate or misleading;
That may include software viruses, spyware or any other malicious applications;
That may encourage, support, assist, or advise in the commission of a criminal offense;
Whose publication is prohibited by any applicable law; or
That may be threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, discriminatory, violent, obscene or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP: We do not claim ownership of any intellectual property rights in or to the Entries, but we do retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in and to the Contest format, the Shortest AI Film Competition by LTX Studio, the Forward Festival, Forward Festival branding, and any derivative thereof.
Lightricks retains ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to LTX Studio, the Platform, the LTX Studio brand, and any derivative thereof.
16. ENTRY LICENSE: YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ENTRY AND ITS CONTENT. WHEN YOU SUBMIT AN ENTRY, YOU CONFIRM TO US THAT:
THE ENTRY IS SOLELY YOUR ORIGINAL CREATION AND YOU ARE THE SOLE RIGHTFUL OWNER OF ALL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ENTRY, OR YOU HAVE OBTAINED ALL RIGHTS, LICENSES, CONSENTS AND PERMISSIONS NECESSARY TO SUBMIT THE ENTRY AND GRANT THE RIGHTS SET FORTH HEREIN.
YOU ARE LAWFULLY ENTITLED TO GRANT THE LICENSES AND WAIVERS SET FORTH BELOW.
YOU HAVE LAWFULLY OBTAINED THE CONSENT OF ALL INDIVIDUALS DEPICTED OR SHOWN IN THE ENTRY, IF ANY, TO USE THEIR IMAGE, LIKENESS AND PUBLICITY RIGHTS, FOR THE PURPOSES CONTEMPLATED BY THESE TERMS.
THE ENTRY AND ITS USE BY THE ORGANIZER, THE PARTNER, AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, WILL NOT INFRINGE ANY RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES, INCLUDING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, PRIVACY RIGHTS AND PUBLICITY RIGHTS.
YOU GRANT THE ORGANIZER AND THE PARTNER A PERPETUAL, ROYALTY-FREE, WORLDWIDE, NON-EXCLUSIVE, SUB-LICENSABLE AND TRANSFERABLE LICENSE, TO COPY, DISTRIBUTE, DISPLAY PUBLICLY, ADAPT, MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC, MAKE COMMERCIAL USE OF, COMBINE WITH OR INCORPORATE INTO OTHER CONTENT, MODIFY AND CREATE DERIVATIVE WORKS OF, ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED IN YOUR ENTRY, SUBMISSION AND RELATED MATERIALS. YOU FURTHER WAIVE ALL MORAL RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE WITH RESPECT TO SUCH ENTRY, SUBMISSION AND RELATED MATERIALS, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Organizer and the Partner may use submitted Entries, winners, event documentation, images, videos, excerpts and related materials for marketing, editorial, portfolio, promotional, archival and communication purposes across all media channels, without temporal or territorial limitation, provided that Entries are shown with appropriate credit to the creator where reasonably practicable.
17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ORGANIZER, THE PARTNER, INCLUDING THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, SUB-CONTRACTORS, PARTNERS, AGENTS AND AFFILIATES (THE “INVOLVED PERSONS”), SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU, FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, STATUTORY, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE, OR ANY SIMILAR DAMAGE OR LOSS, INCLUDING LOSS OF PRIZE OPPORTUNITY, PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, COSTS, EXPENSES AND PAYMENTS, EITHER IN TORT, CONTRACT, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, OR IN ANY OTHER FORM OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, ARISING FROM, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST, THE USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST, OR FROM ANY FAILURE, ERROR, OR BREAKDOWN IN THE FUNCTION OF THE PLATFORM SYSTEMS OR SUBMISSION INTERFACES, OR FROM ANY DELAYED OR INCOMPLETE USER CONTESTS, OR FROM ANY COMPUTER OR COMMUNICATION MALFUNCTIONS, OR FROM ANY FAULT, OR ERROR MADE BY THE INVOLVED PERSON’S STAFF, OR FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE PLATFORM OR ANY RESOURCES IN THE PLATFORM, OR FROM ANY COMMUNICATION WITH THE ORGANIZER, THE PARTNER OR WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS, OR FROM ANY DENIAL OR DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY OR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, OR FROM RETENTION, DELETION, DISCLOSURE AND ANY OTHER USE OR LOSS OF YOUR ENTRY.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST IS ENTIRELY, OR TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AT YOUR OWN RISK.
18. INDEMNITY: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Involved Persons and anyone acting on their behalf, at your own expense and immediately after receiving written notice from the Organizer and/or Partner, from and against all damages, loss, costs, expenses and payments, including reasonable attorney’s fees and legal expenses, arising from any complaint, allegation, claim, or demand, arising from your breach or alleged breach of these Terms.
19. MISCELLANEOUS: The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or temporarily suspend the Contest at any time, with no liability to you. You are exclusively responsible for all costs and expenses associated with your participation in the Contest.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you, the Organizer, and the Partner, regarding the Contest. You may not assign or delegate these Terms or any of your rights and obligations hereunder. Any purported assignment, in contravention of the above will be null and void.
The section headings in the Terms are included for convenience only and shall take no part in the interpretation of the Terms. The term “including”, whether capitalized or not, means without limitation.
If any provision of the Terms is held to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a competent court, then the provision shall be performed and enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of the Terms shall continue to remain in full force and effect.
