Daphnée Denis is the editor-in-chief of Tracks, a show about countercultures, which airs on the European culture channel ARTE. As a French-Colombian journalist, she has worked extensively across the Americas and Europe. A video correspondent covering Latin America for the AFP news agency at the start of her career, she later moved to Mexico to take the helm of the Latin American video department of Spanish newspaper EL PAIS, focusing on violence against women. She then spearheaded efforts to expand Europe’s fastest-growing online media organization, the French media startup Brut, both in the United States and in Spanish-speaking countries, overseeing news coverage and more ambitious projects, such as the launch of an award-winning documentary team. Daphnée is a regular contributor to Kinfolk magazine and is currently writing her first book about feminism in Latin America. Her work has appeared on the BBC, Monocle Magazine, Slate and Slate France.
Daphnée and Yasmine will speak at Forward Festival Berlin.
