CREATIVE TOOL (AUT) FAKTOR is a free web-based pricing calculator for creative freelancers and studios.
FAKTOR consists of the creative professionals Rebecca Russell, Daniel Gremme and Rebecca Balogh with expertise in design and development. A common interest in the economic side of their creative existence brought them together, and ultimately lead to the founding of Faktor. By merging their expertise in design and code, they turned a complicated excel spreadsheet into a user friendly pricing calculator.
Faktor is a free web-based pricing calculator for creative freelancers and studios. It establishes a base price from average project hours × an hourly rate that is dependent on your and your client's location. Factors are then applied to the base price according to the data you input.
Parameters like client size and industry weigh into the final quote. While it uses an hourly rate to establish the base price, this is not an hourly rate calculator, nor does it generate an hourly- based price. Its made to help creatives charge what their work is actually worth.
Faktor operates remotely between Vienna and Cologne, where the team continues to improve the product, and develop educational resources on pricing through their blog and more.
