AI (GER) Eray Basar is the CEO of IMG.LY, a company building creative editing tools used by global brands and millions of users worldwide.
Eray studied computer science, fell for design, and has been building at their intersection ever since. He co-founded the digital agency 9elements, and has led its spin-off IMG.LY as CEO since 2017— guided by the conviction that great creative tools should feel as considered as the work they produce.
IMG.LY's flagship, CE.SDK, powers the creative experiences inside products from Amazon, Disney, HP and hundreds of other brands. Quietly embedded in apps, design platforms, and editors, it helps companies and agencies build custom editors, automations, and brand workflows used by millions of people.
At Forward Festival Berlin, Eray will look beyond the familiar hype and anxiety surrounding AI to glimpse the future of creativity—and the tools shaping it. He’ll approach that future through two lenses: as a technologist, examining what AI can do; and as a designer, asking what it means for the culture around it.
