I FEEL SPACE is an interdisciplinary research dialogue where architecture, hospitality and design converge to develop a conceptual framework for Resonant Spatial Experience.
Art in spatial design is more than an addition to architecture. It can shape identity, evoke emotion and transform how a space is perceived, experienced and remembered.
In this 90-minute workshop, DER GREIF Studio and PLANET Architects explore how art creates resonance between people and space. Working with two spatial cases and artworks by Vienna-based artists, participants move from brief to curatorial concept to a narrative that makes the value of art visible – and experience how the process opens up when clients, employees and communities join the selection.
With an opening impulse by Philipp Kirnbauer, a studio impulse by Diana Poole and Simon Lovermann (DER GREIF Studio), and a workshop led by Corinna Danninger and Theresa Lusser (PLANET Architects).

DER GREIF STUDIO
Der Greif Studio curates, produces and installs photography, mixed media and video art in hospitality, workspace and cultural venues. The Studio works with artists from Der Greif's global community, commissioning and selecting work that is connected to the identity of a place. A well-built visual narrative changes how a space feels: it gives people a reason to stop and connect. Commissions, artist talks, workshops and residencies give emerging artists a platform in the spaces people visit, work at and come together. Recent projects include The Dean Berlin, Kinrise Birmingham, The Dean Munich, Max Brown Milan and Bayerischer Hof.
PHILIPP KIRNBAUER
Philipp Kirnbauer is a design strategist and hospitality expert exploring how spaces shape culture, connection and human experience. He has worked with organisations including the United Nations, Apple and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). Together with Joana Dickinson, Vitra and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), he initiated I FEEL SPACE — Spatial Experience in Hospitality, an interdisciplinary research dialogue series exploring resonance between physical space, human perception and emotional experience, with sessions in Tokyo, Bolzano, Berlin and Vienna.
