SEEDING IDEAS

An idea is only ever a starting point. Three teaser clips are out now, a first look at how The Mill turned that thought into this year's Main Titles, premiering at Forward Festival Berlin, August 27–28 at HKW. Vienna follows on October 1–2.

The Mill has been part of the London scene since 1990, when it started out in visual effects and went on to shape a good deal of what commercial moving image looks like now. The studio picked up an Academy Award for its work on Gladiator, and the years since have taken it further into design, animation, and 3D, with clients spanning car brands, sportswear, music, and cultural institutions.

The Mill's work is never at rest. Objects assemble, surfaces shift, and the frame holds the moment before something resolves. Which is why the teasers give away just enough. Forms take shape, split, and multiply. Nothing arrives fully formed, and nothing stays where it began.

This year's season carries "Turn ideas into action" beyond the Main Titles and into every talk, workshop, and experience.
