Exemplary Beauty

 

 

Over a century ago, Adolf Loos wrote Ornament and Crime, in which he argues that all ornaments should be removed from objects of everyday use in order for culture to evolve. This exhibition gives an opportunity to reflect on the need or unencessity of ornament.

Wonderfully Weird Word of Yorgos Lanthimos

 

 

On occasion of his newest movie, Poor Things, which hits cinemas on January 18th, Vienna’s Filmcasino launches a special honoring the cinematic work of Yorgos Lanthimos. Starting with what some call his most radical film, Dogtooth, you can immerse yourself into the creative mind of one of the most imaginative directors of our time.
