MAX KUWERTZ
AI & DESIGN (GER) Max Kuwertz is an interdisciplinary designer focused on blending technology and creativity.

Max Kuwertz’s interdisciplinary design practice operates at the frontier of technology and creativity, where he aims to unlock aesthetic value for many and celebrate creative empowerment. This desire is rooted in his core conviction that, as creative beings, we co-evolve with the tools we use.
His personal output intentionally transgresses the tired dichotomy of art and design and has been widely featured in publications like Badland, Form, Frame, and Zeit Magazin. He recently exhibited at Milan Design Week, Untitled Gallery in Berlin, and introduced AI-generated artwork for the 2024/25 seasonal campaign of the Staatstheater Braunschweig.
Max co-founded 1×1 Systems, a platform that enables people to produce beautifully simple and highly sustainable furniture through parametric design and 3D printing. He is also the editor and publisher of Spells, a substantial print publication that showcases valuable prompts by the world’s most talented AI image makers.
Following design studies design in Cologne, at Parsons in New York, and at the Polytechnic University in Hong Kong, he worked with Meire und Meire, Random Studio, Meta Design and C/O. This equipped him with a diverse set of strategies, methods, and the technical ability to design in almost any medium. His extensive list of clients includes Louis Vuitton, Nike, Prada, BMW, Samsung and New Computer.
