PLAT(T)FORM at Fotomuseum Winterthur
For the 13th time, the Fotomuseum Winterthur invites young photographers to present their portfolios to experts and the public. Get the chance to meet young talents and learn more about their work directly from the artist. The exhibition starts with interesting expert talks on Friday followed by two days of portfolio-viewing.

Bauhausfestival
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, there will be numerous festivals, exhibitions and events around the globe. The international opening festival will take place in Berlin from 16th to 24th of January. The focus will be on contemporary artists, in which the aesthetic issues and experimental configurations of the Bauhaus artists continue to be inspiringly contagious.

Bauhaus Talks
The Volkshochschule Zürich celebrates 100 years of Bauhaus with various talks on the topic. Listen to interesting lectures on the history of the one of a kind art school and it’s influence on modern design. More events will take place in the following months.

ADC Wettbewerb
The ADC Award is the biggest creative contest in the German-speaking area. Until January 15th, it is possible for studios, editorial offices, agencies and companies to file their submission. Chairman of the jury is former Forward Festival speaker Mirko Borsche accompanied by Ilona Klück.

dotter
The exhibition “Aller Anfang ist Dotter” shows the formation process of the magazine “dotter”, a magazine produced by communication design-students at FH Johanneum in Graz. See the progress from the first steps, through the various developmental stages and the long way until it’s finalization.

100 beste Plakate 18
Another German award will close the submission at the end of January: 100 beste Plakate 18. The best posters in the categories commissioned work, self-promotion an student projects will be honoured. Designers, agencies, clients and printers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are invited to submit their best work until January 21st.

FESPA Awards
Every year the FESPA Awards are honouring the best print products across 14 categories. Applicants for the Awards have until 25th January 2019 to submit their work. The final judging will take place in March and the winners will be announced alongside the FESPA Global Print Expo 2019 exhibition in Munich on May 15th.
