The joined forces of Forward Festival and photographer Maša Stanic turned out to be a viral Choose life poster, hitting a home run as one of the 100 best-printed posters contests. We are thrilled to the bits to join the gang of 2021 edition, and honored to spread our vision and word further down the road. “100 beste Plakate” is a creative community of a longstanding passion for printed posters and a natural curiosity about the world and the people in it.

 

“100 beste Plakate” is an association and exhibition series presenting the best posters created throughout the year in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The association is not only putting together an exhibition but also sees itself as a society that is focusing on the high quality of printed posters in terms of content and aesthetics. Since 2002 a jury, consisting of frequently changing members of the Graphic Designs world, is selecting the best creations coming from the DACH region. The aim of the contest is to display a carefully selected array of stunning works.

 

 

Photographer Maša Stanić and Forward Festival created a controversial poster campaign using a photo by Mashi, originally from pre-corona times, to encourage people to choose life and get vaccinated. The spit from one mouth to the other – a call to action boosting responsibility in order to enjoy life, however one may like, without limitations.
Forward Festival wanted to encourage people across Vienna and beyond to push the reset button and to safely start their lives again after times of lockdowns.

 

 

540 entrants took part in the competition with a total of 2,008 posters! The opening of the 100 beste Plakate exhibition at the Kulturforum, Staatliche Museen in Berlin, is scheduled for June 23, 2022. This will be followed by a tour of exhibitions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as in Korea and other locations. To accompany the exhibition, 21 yearbooks will be published in collaboration with the Kettler publishing house.
