Difficult times call for extra solidarity and extra initiatives to support those in need! That’s why the design legends at Karl Anders in collaboration with the modernist Bavarian craft beer company AND UNION have launched a new creative initiative to support the Hamburg-based Kitchen Guerilla with their project #SoliKüche.

XULI

AND UNION asked the Berlin-based artists Eike König and XULI, Argentinian collective Chu Doma and street- art legend Sozy One from Brussels to cooperate for the project. The artists agreed to join the team and created 25 artworks each to cover 100 AND UNION crates. Wooden boards were built and printed to turn every single one of the crates into a 30 x 40 cm collector’s piece of art.

With the money raised from selling the painted beer crates AND UNION wants to raise enough money in order to finance 1000 meals for those in need. The meals will be provided by the Hamburg-based conceptual caterer’s Kitchen Guerilla and their invention #SoliKüche, which will be supported with each purchase. #SoliKüche is a mobile cooking station that since the start of the pandemic has been a solid rock and reliable source of healthy, tasty dishes for the homeless in Hamburg city.
